    Township tour by Book Tour

Half Day Tour – Experience Cape Town’s Oldest Township With A Qualified Local Guide.

This is a cultural tour which is an eye-opener, not only for our foreign visitors but for our locals as well. The townships are the heartbeat of the nation which are still in a process of healing after the troubled apartheid years.

We meet our township guide at the District Six Museum, who then joins us in our vehicle and we proceed into the various townships. This tour is to learn in greater detail about the hardships that faced all people of colour in our country, but also highlights the positive aspects of township life and the various projects that are being undertaken by the people. This interactive tour will afford you the privilege of meeting the people of the township and speaking to them.

Our guide grew up in these townships and lived and experienced all the hardships associated with pre and post apartheid life. As he relives his personal experiences so you too will get a sense of what township life was and is all about. Most of my visitors have undoubtedly described this tour as the highlight of their Cape Town visit.
